VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER RECRUITEMENT

The Township of McNab/Braeside is currently accepting applications for the Fire Department. This is a volunteer position requiring a serious commitment to training, fire prevention and active firefighting duties.

  • Preference may be given to applicants with previous experience and NFPA certifications.
  • A valid Ontario Driver’s license, Class D with Z Endorsement or the ability to obtain such certification within the first year of start date are required.
  • Physical testing will be part of the hiring process.

The McNab/Braeside Fire Department will be holding the following information sessions:

 Open House - Meet the Firefighters in the Station, Monday, October 20, 2025, 7 pm

  • Station 1 – 2494 Russett Drive, Glasgow

 Information/Orientation Presentation – Prerequisite for application

  • Thursday, October 23 – 7:00 pm, Station 2, 142 Burnstown Rd., White Lake
  • Wednesday, October 29 – 7:00 pm, Station 2, 142 Burnstown Rd., White Lak


 Interested applicants are invited to fill out a Firefighter Application located at the bottom of this page.

Applications can be dropped off in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “Volunteer Firefighter” or by email, no later than 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, to:
