Business

The Township of McNab/Braeside lies between the towns of Arnprior and Renfrew, and is a 30-minute drive to Kanata in the City of Ottawa. The newly expanded four-lane Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 417) runs directly through the centre of the township, providing easy access north to Pembroke and beyond and south to Ottawa.

Council is taking a number of bold measures to attract and retain business:

  • updating the Official Plan and wrapping it under the County umbrella, which will help enhance the planning experience
  • improving our processes and procedures to help accelerate planning & development applications
  • engaging in a marketing and branding exercise to highlight the Township’s strengths and attractions, which include:
  • a highly educated work force, with above-average income
  • easy access to Pembroke and Ottawa
  • high-speed bandwith available in most parts of the township
  • industrial park facilities
