Truth & Reconciliation Reflection Quilt
How to participate
Using your choice of art medium, create a quilt square that portrays your vision of values such as inclusivity, thoughtfulness, love, respect, hope and understanding. Quilt Squares must be 6"x6" on card stock (if you do not have card stock, squares can be picked up from the Municipal office).
Quilt squares should contain the following colours;
Orange: Truth Telling & Healing
Pink: Heart of Reconciliation
Purple: Speaking the Truth
Red: Culture
Blue: New Life
The quilt square should represent one of the seven sacred teachings: Respect, Honesty, Courage, Love, Humility, Wisdom and Truth.
Love. Love is the gift from the Eagle
Respect. Respect is the gift from the Buffalo
Courage. The Bear carries courage
Honesty. Honesty is carried by the Sabe (Sasquatch)
Wisdom. The Beaver carries wisdom
Humility. The Wolf carries humility
Truth. The Turtle carries truth
Quilt Squares must be 6" x 6" on Cardstock.
If you do not have cardstock, squares can be picked up from the Municipal Office (2473 Russett Dr.)
All squares must be dropped off between September 3rd and 20th.
