“Over the past eight years, the Township has changed quite a lot.  This corporate re-branding project is more than just a logo, it is a major milestone in our evolution.  It represents the significant transformation that has taken place across the municipality, the values of our community, who we are and who we want to become,” said Mayor Tom Peckett.

The logo is modern evolution from the previous logo. The logo is a symbol of the Township’s new brand purpose.  This new visual identity includes a vibrant colour palette, modern typeface, and the imagery is fresh, clean, and contemporary.   It represents the pride Township residents take in their community and strong sense of belonging, making it a desirable place for people to want to live and visit.

Taking a closer look at the logo, the sun represents vitality and friendliness and evokes energy for the future growth of the township.  The three waves represent the three waterways in the Township:  Madawaska River, Ottawa River and White Lake.  They symbolize movement, change and growth.  The Canada Goose is not only one of nature’s beauties, but it also represents determination and purposeful movement. While the agricultural lines represent the rural nature of the Township with strong cultural associations to nature, harmony, hard work and family values of our residents.

As part of the ceremony, the Township also unveiled its new tagline;

“Where nature awaits.”

This tag line is an expression of the Townships soothing natural landscapes, picturesque trails, and waterways which tie back to the blue waves and green rolling lines in the logo.  It resonates tranquility and harmony with nature to inspire people and evoke a sense of interest to come and explore the Township and all that is has to offer.
