Seasonal Role, Township of McNab/Braeside Parks & Recreation Department
Position Overview: The Township is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team as a Park & Recreation Attendant. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the community while developing valuable skills in maintenance, recreation, hospitality, and horticulture. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to maintain park facilities, support community events, and assist with beach operations.

| Location | Municipal Recreation Facilities throughout the Township |
Duties:
• Perform grass cutting, weeding, watering, and general landscaping duties
• Ensure parks, trails, beaches and recreation facilities are clean and well maintained
• Empty garbage bins, clean washrooms and restock supplies as needed
• Facilitate beach equipment rentals
• Provide support for community events including set-up and tear-down
• Keep repair tools and supplies clean and organized
• Other duties as assigned
Skills/ Abilities/ Work Demands:
• Demonstrate aptitude to operate light duty vehicles and small tools and equipment
• Reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions in a physically active role
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form in a professional manner
• Capacity to prioritize tasks
• Works well within a large team, yet requires minimal supervision
• Critical thinking skills with an ability to develop effective solutions
• Ability to lift and adjust heavy equipment
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
• Moderate computer skills (email, search web browser)
• Previous experience in maintenance, sports field preparation or landscaping is
considered an asset
Job Requirements:
• Valid class “G” license and satisfactory driving record
