Take your bike on Earth Day as we come together to bring awareness to the climate crisis. We will meet at 1 pm at Red Pine Bay, 642 Usborne St. Braeside on Friday, April 22, 2022.
The idea is for you to showcase that it is possible to ‘run errands’ on your bike - run as few or as many errands as you would like! The group will complete the final errand together by meeting up at the Arnprior & District Food Bank between 2:30-3:00 pm to drop off non-perishable food items or to make a cash donation. From here we will part ways to head home, on to your next adventure or to Red Pine Bay to collect your vehicle.
Ideas for errands include, but not limited to:
•Go to the grocery store to buy non-perishable food items, or to the bank to withdrawal cash to make a donation to the Arnprior & District Food Bank Inc.
•Borrow a book from the Arnprior Public Library
•Grab a coffee or snack from your favorite spot (A big thank you to Mighty Fine Bakehouse & Cafe who will be making Paris-Brest for the occasion).
•Mail a letter at the Post Office
•Tune up your bike at Arnprior Rotary Club's bike repair station
•Pick up litter and put in the trash
•Get a haircut
•Visit your favorite park
•Purchase a gift for someone for an upcoming celebration
Make sure to take pictures/selfies completing your errands on your bike. Post on social media with hashtag: #earthdayerrandcycle
