GREETINGS FROM THE MAYOR

Mayor Mary M. Campbell

On behalf of the Council of The Corporation of the Township of McNab/Braeside, I extend greetings and thank you for visiting our web site. Throughout the year, we will continue to update our web site to reflect the most recent events within our historic Township. We sincerely hope that you take the time to view all our web pages and connecting links.

The Township is a rapidly growing community located amongst the beauty of the Ottawa River, Madawaska River and White Lake. Only a 30 minute drive from Kanata and Corel Centre, it offers the convenience of city amenities for entertainment and business while providing the residents with the peace and serenity of country life. The historical and cultural background of the Township can be viewed upon a visit to the Waba Cottage Museum and Gardens located in the Village of White Lake.

Walking, cycling, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling can be enjoyed on a recreational trail close to your own backyard. Also, there is a ski resort just a few kilometers away at Calabogie Peaks. There are two golf courses, beaches and four boat docks within the Township boundaries. The Township has nine municipal parks with recreation programs that include soccer, fast ball, and outdoor skating.

A variety of unique stores, restaurants, retail outlets, and other businesses offer a selection of goods and services with a personal touch that only small communities can offer. The industrial park located near Hwy. 17 and the Town of Arnprior is an ideal location for commercial and industrial enterprises to conduct business.

If you are visiting our Township, we welcome you and suggest you visit the many beautiful areas within the Township of McNab/Braeside. I look forward to having you in our community and hopefully meeting you personally.
