2019 FLOOD INFORMATION
NOTICE RE: SANDBAGS
Please be advised that Council has awarded the sandbag retrieval tender to “Marshall’s”. Due to having to re-tender, the estimated timeline for retrieval is July 2-26, 2019 (the start date may be sooner, subject to Marshall’s availability). We ask for your continued patience during this time. Residents who do not wish to have their sandbags picked up within this time frame are welcome to use their own resources and take the sandbags to our landfill site instead (free of charge).
Team Rubicon Canada is operating in The Township of McNab/Braeside at the invitation of the municipal authorities to assist with recovery planning. Over the next week, our Rapid Damage Assessment teams will be working in areas identified by municipal planners as those that have been highly impacted by the recent floods. Homeowners—of both primary and seasonal residences—who have been impacted are encouraged to self-identify through the Request for Assistance form at the link below. These requests will be cataloged and the information collected though them will give municipal planners a better understanding of the impacts throughout the area, which will aid in recovery planning.
